Hi there,
I am not sure about the blurriness as this is subjective, I'd need some more info and screenshots about that. Regarding flickering see this (it's on the known issue list): https://github.com/waydabber/BetterDisplay/issues/261
If you want scalable HiDPI resolutions, then you should not use dummy mirroring as virtual screen mirroring has several macOS level bugs in newer macOS versions (this is not BD specific but affects mirrored Sidecar, AirPlay etc. displays as well). A better way to do this is to use the native smooth scaling feature. Check out the step-by-step guide under How to unlock scaling and HiDPI for my display?
found in the main GitHub page.
(I'll close this one but feel free to have any follow up comments, I'll get notified! Thank you!)
My understanding was the bluriness of the screen was due to scaling issues, which BetterDisplay fixes. However, the issue persists when the app is set up according to the instructions here.
What additional info can I provide you with? I'm afraid that the screenshot wouldn't be blurry for you. I would have to take a literal photo of my screen for that ;)
I am not sure of the bluriness issue - if you mean bluriness due to supersampled scaling (a high resolution HiDPI framebuffer scaled to the actual pixel density of the display), then that is normal and expected and is there due to the fact that the pixel resolution of the display is lower than the HiDPI framebuffer. If you experience an undersampled bluriness (a LoDPI desktop with lower-than-display-native resolution scaled to the display) then that should be fixed by using the app and creating previously unattainable HiDPI resolutions.
I'm using the app for an HP Envy "27 and I'm experiencing two issues:
EDIT: Image always flickers
