Hi there - unfortunately not, BetterDisplay can turn off the internal display but this won't make a way for adding an other external display. Even more, even on M3, when the internal display is soft-turned off and the Mac is not in clamshell mode, the redirection to the external display does not work, the Mac must be put to clamshell mode.
Hi @waydabber,
May I ask that whether BetterDisplay is able to disable the internal display of M1/M2 Macbooks, and redirect the signal to the second external monitor? I mean a kind of third-part implementation of M3 Macbook Air's dual display solution, but without the need of clamshell.
