Menu does not dismiss while settings window is opened #3259

It is not possible to dismiss menu by clicking outside of it while settings window is opened. The only way to close menu then is to click on menu icon again.

waydabber commented 3 months ago

Hmm. I am not sure why that is, the menu should hide just fine when clicking outside of it (seems to work on my setup). Not sure about the 3.0.0 pre-release, but can you try the latest internal pre-release and see if it works?

As instructed.

This time I can't easily reproduce the same behaviour but certainly menu won't dismiss while clicking on opened settings window. In the meantime, I'll try to observe original issue.

Oh, yes, clicking on the Settings window (if already opened) won't dismiss the menu. But that is intentional (as I want the menu remain visible if the user wants it to during configuring something). But you normally have to intentionally open the menu again after opening Settings to have the menu open. I think this is good this way.

I'll consider this to be fixed until there is no further info, but let me know if there is a way to reproduce the problem and I'll reopen it! Thank you!
