If the port layout does not match, you can simply change the codes associated with ports. The current mapping is just the most common but displays don't report these and these are not standardized so you need to configure it manually.
BetterDisplay correctly detects that AW3423DWF supports DCC. For example, it can correctly change the display brightness. However, the DCC Input Source selection does not work.
If I manually set the input to "DP 2" on the monitor and then try to use the DCC Input Source on BetterDisplay, it will always switch the input to "DP 1" no matter which selection I make.
If the monitor input is set to "DP 1" and I try to chose "DisplayPort 2" on BetterDisplay, the monitor turns black for a second and when it turns back on, it will still be on "DP 1".
