I was able to use the MacOS Display to get an intermediate resolution, and this is working today with quality (did not work well previously).
Hi there - depending on Mac model and connection you can get HiDPI resolutions between a max. of 2560px-3840px horizontally. To know exactly what are the limits, I'd need to know the model. On Apple Silicon you can check the max supported horizontal resolution under Settings/Displays/the display/Display Information/Capabilites/Max GPU horizontal limit.
I am unable to use Better Display to manage my resolutions with my Odyssey G95SC 49" Dual DQHD monitor. I am able to do this via MacOS Displays where I can set 2560 x 720 (HiDPI), but when I attempt to use Better Display, I get choices that are half the native width resolution.
My goal is to get a quality scaled display which is between 5120x1440 and 2560x720 resolution, as I am finding that MacOS has certain dialogs that don't scale/scroll properly (e.g. Apple Pay for example) on a screen that is just 720 high. Native resolution is just too small for these old eyes, no matter how I fiddly with the bits, but 720 high is inconvenient these days due to issues with MacOS.
