Some displays report themselves as TV (or macOS treats them as TVs beyond a certain physical size). TVs get an underscan slider but Night Shift do not apply to them and the OS might switch to a less desired encoding scheme (instead of RGB) upon detecting a TV.
A toggle should be added to the Custom display configuration section to override the default setting (+ the app should report the current setting as well) for TV s Monitor use cases.
