General network enhancements #251

I'm not into the technical details but it would be much better if the phone could interpret the network interface as wifi instead of wired connection as a lot of apps ignore the existence of wired connection at all (eg: instant messaging apps not downloading media automatically). Another thing to improve is about VPN's in general, which does'nt work at all inside android and IIRC needs a lot of tweaks to work even if installed in the host machine.

Issues that could help understanding the situation (some links are from anbox but waydroid seems to suffer from the same problems): https://github.com/anbox/anbox/issues/1576 https://github.com/waydroid/waydroid/issues/105 https://github.com/anbox/anbox/issues/443#issuecomment-343352213 https://github.com/anbox/anbox/issues/1004#issuecomment-476383030

I concur.

It seems that the Android x86 developer have opted for this approach, and it seems to work well.

This prevents me from using anbox when otherwise it seems to work perfectly
