Also just tested it on Moon+ Reader app on my phone, and "Tenseiga" shows up correctly for me, with no missing characters. Try redownloading the file or using a different app, if possible?
This is also happening with Kindle for Android so I imagine this is probably a Kindle issue. I use the Kindle because it doesn't strain my eyes like normal backlit screens.
Let me know!
I have the same issue when downloading MOBI files to my Kindle 3. The three different fics I've downloaded using ficsave have all had this happen.
I have the same problem when sending MOBI files to Kindle either by mail or by calibre, the rate of missing letters I noticed is about 10-15 every hour of reading.
Kindle 3 (version 3.4). The same issue does not appear (all the letters are in) as I use Stanza to read the Mobi files on a computer, it might be a Kindle issue.
I almost thought the author was really sloppy with spelling but there were too many errors to ignore so I cross checked ff.net versus the generated file, and I realized the errors were only in the generated MOBI file and not on the original ff.net story.
There seemed to be no pattern of what letters are missing in any word. I've seen them mostly as the first letter missing, but sometimes a letter right in the middle of the word.
Sample Chapter: https://www.fanfiction.net/s/1755345/24/War-s-Shadow
This line is from ff.net:
Tenseiga.
(fourth paragraph from the top)The MOBI file misses the 'g':
Another case (same chapter):

Because she is Lien.
Rendered output, missing 'L':
I unfortunately deleted my old generated file so I don't know if this is a new issue due to recent changes, or has always been like this.
As always, great work! I'm happy to test away :) :+1:
