MVP would be a static backdrop that scrolls as the player moves.

Ideally it would be layered for a parallax effect, with a static background (e.g. sky/sun/stars), and middle ground elements (e.g. buildings/trees) that move slower than the foreground (platforms)

Not MVP but could you make the windows transparent and do the clouds as a loopable image so we can scroll them by behind it? also, I'm happy to keep the screen static vertically but can you make it loopable horizontally so we can go as far left and right as the level needs to?

Do you prefer to make the windows as sprites or incorporate them directly into the background? Like the one before background

My preference would be a single image for the airplane walls/window frame with transparent sections for the windows. The a separate image for the stuff outside the windows so that we can have that scrolling along to make it look like the plane is moving.

It also means that (time permitting) we can have different outside images for different levels without having to redo the entire background, something like:

Oh! I like that idea. No problem, it doesn't take long to make the backgrounds. I will do it this week
