Looks like this gem is outdated & abandoned, alternatives?

Hey guys, this gem seems outdated & abandoned.

S3's V4 auth seems not supported and issues seem a bit dead as well.

Feel free to list your alternatives here. I'll be looking at this personally:

Update: I ended up using this fork which supports V4 auth.

@hakunin I started to look at the link you provided but it concerns me that the gist was last updated in May 2014.

@hakunin, @MrHubble, @jclusso depending on your set-up:

• if you use carrierwave (although it require fog as well which is not an option in my case - fog is super buggy) - carrierwave-direct gem
• if you use heroku - follow the guide on their blog - Direct to S3 image uploads in Rails

UPDATE:

• this gem looks promising (will test it now) s3_multipart

@jclusso good to know, I haven't tested this one myself yet, was switching few times between gems and storages. Does it works with rails 4.2 ?

@famousky not using 4.2 yet. Using 4.1.9
