Netflix only enters fullscreen for 4:3 aspect ratio content #149

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
Playing any size video other then 3:4

What is the expected output or result?
Fullscreen

What do you see instead?
simulated click on Fullscreen button misses location

Please provide any additional information below, including any relevant
URLs. If there is a crash report in [HOME]/Library/Logs/CrashReporter then
please attach it.

This happens on an iMac with the default screen size of 1920x1200 but I can't
see how it
wouldn't happen on any screen size. The fact that Netfilx encodes content to
the original screen
aspect ratio means that the location of the Fullscreen button will change
depending on what
content is being played. The current understudy plugin (0.8.3) will go into
fullscreen if the
content is 4:3 but 16:9 and other content ratio's have the button in a
different location and do
not go into fullscreen.

OSX 10.6, iMac, 1920x1200 understudy 0.8.3

I checked this out on another computer:1280x800, MacBook, 10.6
The 0.8 release in February worked in 4x3 and 16x9 but other aspect ratios
didn't. I got the same results with
0.8.3. I'll double check the 1920x1200 screen size on the iMac.

I have a 13" unibody MBP (1280x800) connected to a 24" Gateway Monitor on my
wall
(1920x1200), which I use as a bedroom TV (frontrow, netflix, etc).

I am having the same issue: only 4:3 goes to fullscreen. However, all
resolutions do
work properly when watching on my built in display.
