Evaluate use of filters to sort acronyms #1

Is it possible to create a filter for the acronyms.yaml metadata file which stores the list of acronyms. Currently this acronyms need to be sorted alphabetical by hand. Also a "longest" tag need to be set to get the longest acronym for layouting correct.
