this adds a ‘icon-visibility’ setting, which can be set to ‘always’, ‘never’, or ‘when-recording’ (the default).

@BenignBeppe, since you worked on #23 recently (🎉)... is there any chance i can get you interested in this?

maybe my approach is not the right one. and it's not exposed in the newly added prefs panel either.

The implementation looks fine to me. I'm new to Gnome development though.

I created a pull request for adding a setting for this (#29).
