Some of us are (sadly) still working with the older Java 6 runtime and using this component is therefore not possible.
I saw that there really aren't that many Java 7 paradigms used at the moment, so I added Java 6 compile support. If this PR doesn't make sense for you, just close it. I will be re-applying the patches in case of new releases :).
