Just installed...getting Unknown node on all nodes #3

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Entered the echo prefix code 3S (3*) and the node number 
2. Get the "The node number you dialed does not exist"
3. On readinput I see the correct characters....If I do a decode it looks like 
this...

[repeater@localhost bin]$ decode 3S169676
echo_call: Unknown node!

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
above...

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
echoirlp installed today via script...
CENTOS
[repeater@localhost bin]$ uname -a
Linux localhost.localdomain 2.6.9-42.0.10.plus.c4 #1 Tue Feb 27 16:27:24 EST 
2007 i686 i686 
i386 GNU/Linux
