It was never something I intended to add but it could make sense when processing a lot of releases.
A simple filter which say "only forward this quality", or "ignore this resolution" sounds doable. Did you have something more advanced in mind? Could you give an example of what you're looking for?
What you suggest is basically exactly what I had in mind. For example, a filter to ignore anything with Spanish in the name (since they’ll always be declined by Sonarr with just an English profile). Another case is to ignore darksport group releases because some trackers throw them into the TV category and sonarr ends up processing a lot of sports content it doesn’t even support.
Irssi has some more advanced stuff, like rules applied only to specified trackers, and delay profiles for those situations where a 720p and 1080p release are announced seconds apart and sonarr can end up grabbing the 720p and then immediately upgrading it.
But for 90% of situations, a simple filter like you mentioned would be more than enough, just to take a little of the load off sonarr when you have a handful of active trackers connected.
I think announced can fully replace autodl-irssi and be more powerful
One of the best things about Arrnounced is how little configuration it needs, the PVRs do all the filtering. That said, it would be nice to have optional filters for what gets passed onto the PVRs like Trackarr has. I've added a handful of trackers to Arrnounced and Sonarr/Radarr are constantly processing releases for stuff that I never intend to grab. A filter in front of them to cut down on their processing load would be a very appreciated feature.
I know Trackarr does this already but Arrnounced's webUI puts it head and shoulders above Trackarr for me.
