Policy: How much customized configuration do WFOs need for Forecasts #1696

CMS has default settings and a place where WFOs can configure forecast thresholds for copy/icons

Sustained defaults:

Windy = 30 mph Very windy = 45 mph Gusts default:

At least 18mph, w/ 3mph difference for gusts to be noted CMS configurations across WFOs are very different, examples:

Next steps:

  1. Need to review and present differences between offices to Champions to assess how important is it to maintain this level of nuance, using spreadsheet above.
  2. Scope ticket (IOC or FOC) for API team to pick up in order to maintain parity
