Use case: Monitor/Expose the number of connections

"As a devops engineer, I want to be able to quantify the number of connections to each pod, to determine the level of load".

E.g.

• when you would expect one connection, check there is only one connection
• some sort of "load" metric. How many connections?
• debug long-lived connections, connections that haven't been closed

There is some overlap with cortex here.

The number of connections is shown in the details panel.

It wouldn't be hard to expose the total number as a metric-on-canvas.
