I've had good experiences with them since we switched to using them in ui-components repo. Since then, I've been seeing it being used in more and more places.

We'd benefit by having a more standardized commit history and being able to aggregate CHANGELOG for releases much more easily.

I'm fine with it; I have to visit this issue every time to look up what it means, but I guess I'll get used to it.
