Side Menu Bar (expand and collapse) #1839

For both the OSS and Enterprise dashboard we would like to make it easy to have more space for the "main content" of the app. I.e. the data.

We should move away from nested menus and ensure that the left side menu can collapse and just so columns; ensuring there is plenty of space for the content.

Acceptance Criteria

  1. Product/Design can collaborate on the structure of the menu items and how they are grouped together.
  2. Designs and icons for the menu bar so it can cleanly collapse and the user can clearly understand the icons.

Navigation Items changed drastically since this was created. Let's close this one. I know @alfaris is already working on a navigation proposal.

@jpellizzari feel free to re-open if you feel it's still needed.
