Docker announced they won't be supporting overlay networking with an external key-value store in Docker for Windows without using Swarm mode. Weave would be a compelling alternative to Docker Swarm for users on alternative cluster schedulers such as Nomad (full disclosure: I'm a Nomad dev posting on behalf of a user request for overlay networking in Windows).
any progress???
weave net can be run on windows server 2016? thanks for the reply!

Hi @messmerxx, thanks for the interest.
No change here: Weave Net is currently Linux-only.
i can appreciate this is a probably not an insignificant undertaking to support windows, however kubernetes 1.14 (released a month ago) has announced windows support as GA, so would be nice if the weave-CNI could keep up with what upstream kubernetes is doing..
Hello, are there any plans to support Windows in the next quarters? Sadly it's becoming a trend in some companies...
As an Open Source project we haven't heard of anyone doing a native Windows port of Weave Net.
As a commercial company, Weaveworks is open to discuss with anyone who wants to sponsor this work.
As announced by Microsoft, Windows Server Containers will be comparable to Linux containers and will support Docker. So Weave should run in that environment, and provide a software overlay network that can span multiple clouds and link Windows and Linux containers together.
