The 2.15 release of the Illinois Toolkit includes support for vertical tabs. A new paragraph type should be built out that supports the vertical tabs component.

Examples of the component can be found at https://builder.toolkit.illinois.edu/prod/vertical-tab-preview/index.html, but there isn't documentation built out for it yet.
