While updating the project dependencies, it made sense to cleanup the UI for the example app so it is more streamlined for developers to setup and push new contributions.

[x] Update project dependencies and remove deprecated configuration options.
[x] Update example app UI. This makes the example app more intuitive from a workflow perspective and also allows for dynamic locale selection to accommodate for contributors that don't use the default locale.
[x] Create new .gif to replace initial .gif shown on site and documentation website.
