AIM: Develop n.1 Digital Privacy Academy

Being a lack of one single place where to get a good idea of:

We are committed to gather the finest existing material and curate it in a way that makes it accessible for both the average crypto user and total beginners, empowering them to learn and implement best practices effectively.

Our Ecosystem is rich with diversity, spanning activists, hacktivists, privacy experts, founders, lawyers, policymakers, teachers, researchers, and enthusiastic newcomers. This will provide a comprehensive perspective of the matter, making this academy and curation a one of a kind.

NEXT STEPS and HELP NEEDED:

Collect and organize content to be assembled in different playlists and uploaded in our website (https://web3privacy.info/)

This is the draft where you can add resources, suggest improvements and help us design the course structure: https://app.skiff.com/docs/7be63d2c-016b-4453-a437-c23f3c884fde#9prgGol6PqZPiGjbmtNuk5jCf658ZOMYMrUpNJ%2Fn%2Br0%3D

@EclecticSamurai Thanks for the addition, however it's still pretty abstract for me.

Could you add how this will differ from a classic research? (add also to the Issue description ideally)

The name "Academy" seems too confusing to me if it's just going to be about continuous research and its presentation. Calling it an "Academy" would make sense if it had some structure and a higher purpose.

For example, something like what Ethereum Protocol Fellowship Program is doing would make sense:

The Ethereum Protocol Fellowship (formerly Core Developer Apprentice Program) is a program designed to onboard developers to the process through which the protocol development happens. It is an opportunity to dive deep into the protocol and learn while also working closely with others on the same learning trajectory as well as the core development community.

This program will not teach or focus in any way on smart contract development or creating blockchain applications.

Over the course of the 4 month program, EPF participants will receive project support and mentorship as well as a monthly stipend while working on a project of their choosing. Participants can expect

  • a weekly call with participants
  • selected mentorship with applicable devs
  • monthly demo days
  • optional In-person meetups
  • project documentation guidance

If the Academy will be something like this, focused on preparing materials and then a relatively intensive and practical course around Privacy in web3 for particular people, that would be a total blast. And the name "Academy" makes clear sense :)

one day can be so. For now we shape the essential and curate pre-existing content. Than phase 2 will be to create our content. Phase 3 could become what you are suggesting.

For now, lets keep it simple, effective and practical.
