Actually think I'll drop Culture of Concentration.
It's largely untested and don't have any data to share.
I'd rather dog food it then get up there and say, hey this is a great idea. I mean, i think it should be great. I want to respect peoples time, I could start by testing my own theories. ; )
Thank you so much for testing it with me this past week.
The main thing I realized today, is to only sell one big idea at a time.
I'm selling the idea that Clojure developers can learn the fundamentals of learning and teaching from the Rich Hickey's of the Adult Education field, thus accelerating their own learning about learning in the same manner that Betty Edward's student's have.
And why? Because we have a shared mission -- to lower the barrier of entry for new Clojure programmers (because Clojure does have a steeper learning curve than other languages).
And we have, hopefully if I haven't bored them to death, a shared value of learning, around which to gather.
If we are successful, people could learn to program more efficiently than ever, just like Betty Edward's students. And bigger problems are within reach of a larger group of makers.
That's it. I want to laser focus on that and do what we can make involvement appealing.
My talk is the only conference talk without a follow up discussion, I think.
But I talked about doing a follow up meeting on Saturday or a week from Saturday or sometime in the future.
I plan to host regular meetings and hackathons with a focus on building learning and teaching solutions. These will be free. These will also be a place where newcomers can connect with more experienced developers and designers, and much knowledge sharing and laughter will ensue.
Thanks for all the great vibes Isaac. It a real pleasure to work with you! I hope you can take tomorrow off and get some well deserved rest! My best : )
At the behest of my dear Mother, I've moved Betty Edwards to the intro. Sometimes you just have to listen to your Mother. What can I say?
Here's a video of a rehearsal as of tonight.

I think I'll keep a lighter version of the axiology stuff to show our work, but I'll cut out the life stories.
In the action section:
Keep Finding Clojure. Add Clojure Learning Curve and invite community to learning all they can about learning and teaching, from the experts.
Betty Edwards. Learning How to Learn, Culture of Concentration etc.
Conclusion.
I should be able to finish writing by Tomorrow night. Definitely by Monday. I've really got too much content, its just a matter of organizing it.
I'll get as mush as I can to you as early as I can by creating issues, letting you know what's solid.
You can close this Isaac : )
Happy Day!
