TownyChat itself is actually sending the messages directly to dynmap (even if we turn off the normal SimpleChat listener) - need to talk to TownyChat about their controls for pushing chat messages to us.
That doesn't help. The issues is that we are using our admin channel for sensitive info between admins and we don't want our information broadcasted publicly to whoever is watching the map.
There is no proper way to contact them, they are not helpfull in support. They just say nope. I'm serious they have literally said the word nope to one of my admins supporting a ticket asking for help.
Understood - I don't have a good answer for you. You can kill our chat support completely (by pulling the 'chat' and 'chatbox' components from the configuration.txt), but otherwise I don't really have a way to second-guess another plugin sending me messages to send to the web
I might be able to fork TownyChat, and throw you guys a modified version with the code that sends messages to us pulled out - lemme give that a look tonight....
That would be appreciated a lot!
Give this a try (http://mikeprimm.com/TownyChat.jar) - I think this will fix the problem with 'PRIVATE' channels going to the web: only GLOBAL ones should go now.
Ok... i'll let you know if it helps! also you might try giving or suggesting this to the devs at towny
actaully no it didnt work :/ if you want to hop on my server to test.. its nickfost.com.. you'll have to give me your username so i can whitelist you
Have you remove the SimpleChat component from configuration.txt?
