I contacted them using the form at https://www.ontario.ca/feedback/contact-us?id=8330&nid=72922 and they claim they will reply within 15 business days.
We appreciate your report. I was able to reproduce the issue. Firefox is an unsupported browser, even when using a device that supports firefox (Windows) according to the page:
Tested with:
Browser / Version: Firefox Release 98.0 (64-bit)/ Firefox Nightly 100.0a1 (2022-03-13) (64-bit) /Chrome Version 99.0.4844.51 (Official Build) (64-bit) Operating System: Windows 10 PRO x64 Operating System: Mac OSX 10.15.6
Notes:
Moving this to NeedsDiagnosis for further investigations.

Looks like the UA detection is happening on the server side. Thanks for contacting them @mnoorenberghe
We can add a temporary UA override until this is addressed
I got an unhelpful reply back from the contact form at https://www.ontario.ca/feedback/contact-us?id=8330&nid=72922 as it seems like that got routes to the driver and vehicle department.
I just sent the same content to the more generic contact us form, not specific to the ministry of transportation at: https://www.ontario.ca/feedback/contact-us so hopefully it'll get routed to the IT/dev. department this time.
Otherwise, maybe @michaelfagan can help route this to the appropriate team within the Ontario government. (👋 we both went to Barcamp Waterloo a long time ago.)
I'll see what I can do @mnoorenberghe . Curious how you managed to connect this to me... my memory of waterloo barcamps is not great...
I've added this domain to https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1761496, so a temporary override to version 99 can be shipped until this is fixed
I'll see what I can do @mnoorenberghe .
Thanks.

Somehow I ended up on your LinkedIn recently and saw you were at the Ontario Digital Service (not sure how but I've been doing a lot of hiring/sourcing recently). I recognized you from the Barcamp Waterloo days but don't remember specifics.
The site is now failing on Chrome 100 stable as well.
I'm not sure if I should open a new issue or piggyback on this one. Here's the current supported browsers for the various online services from the Ontario government:
https://www.ontario.ca/page/supported-browsers?WT.ac=BrowserReq&WT.govon_mod_loc=LPSRStartPage
Firefox desktop isn't supported by the following services:
Firefox iOS and Firefox Android are not supported by many services. :(
URL: https://www.services.gov.on.ca/wps85/poc/s2i?uri=s2i:000000002Info&lang=en
Browser / Version: Firefox 100.0 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.15 Tested Another Browser: Yes Other
Problem type: Site is not usable Description: Browser unsupported Steps to Reproduce: The website to renew Ontario vehicle license plates claims that it's incompatible with Firefox version 100 but if I switch to version 99 it works.
