We appreciate your report. I was able to reproduce the issue. Firefox 100 is an unsupported browser:

Screenshot_33

Tested with:

Browser / Version: Firefox Release 98.0.1 (64-bit)/ Firefox Nightly 100.0a1 (2022-03-20) (64-bit) Operating System: Windows 10 PRO x64

Notes:

  1. Reproducible regardless of the status of ETP.
  2. Reproducible on the latest build of Firefox Nightly.
  3. Works as expected using Firefox Release:

Moving this to NeedsDiagnosis for further investigations.

This is based on a sever-side UA detection. Looks like Chrome v.100 is also affected. We should contact the site and see if they can adjust this rule.

I have contacted the CEO of Citi (thanks to your template @webcompat-bot and Elliot Advocacy's website) via email. Hope I get a reply soon.

Hope my little assistance helps.

No problemo, @ksy36 ! Glad to help.

A little update, tho. I reached out to them on their Instagram page with this issue URL sent.

Not so good news.

This is what I received.

Hi, thanks for your message. We'd like to get more details of the issue and see how we can help. Please DM the error message received, the website URL you're going to, your account type and country where it was opened (no account numbers or PINs). ^Jovit

Okay, "Jovit", reading comprehension?

This is why I don't use big banks.

(Not trying to steer this into a political argument!)

ksy36 commented 2 years ago

Yeah, it can be difficult sometimes to get a hold of someone. I can try to reach out as well :)

I've filed https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1761496 so a temporary override to Firefox 99 can be added for this domain until the issue is addressed

abeyad commented 2 years ago

I reached out to them via their developer hub page: https://sandbox.developerhub.citi.com/contactus and the email listed on their github account (though I'm not sure how active it is): https://github.com/Citi. Will post if I hear back.

This seems fixed in Chrome, but not in Firefox (with the UA override disabled). :(

softvision-raul-bucata commented 2 years ago

I can confirm that the issue is still reproducible with the UA override disabled

Tested with:

Browser / Version: Firefox Nightly 102.0a1 (2022-05-02) (64-bit) Operating System: Windows 10 PRO x64

This no longer occurs regardless of the UA Override.
