URL: https://nylottery.ny.gov/

Browser / Version: Firefox 109.0 Operating System: Linux Mint 19.3 Tested Another Browser: Yes Chrome

Problem type: Something else Description: Dates on page are wrong. Steps to Reproduce: If you scroll down on the page (right after the header/infoBox) - you'll see three boxes for the next drawing for (1) Mega Millions, (2) Power Ball and (3) New York Lotto.

The dates of the Next Drawing should be: Mega Millions: 02/07/23 PowerBall: 02/04/23 NY Lotto: 02/04/23

Firefox incorrectly adds an extra day to each: Mega: 02/08/23 PowerBall: 02/05/23 NY Lotto: 02/05/23

I should note that it's been this way for years. I am only now reporting this.

We appreciate your report but I was not able to reproduce this issue. The dates are displayed the same on both Firefox and Chrome.

Hi, I wrote the initial bug. I just created an account to see if we can re-open this. (ps: please pardon me for the bolding. I'm not familiar with github etiquette.I just wanted to highlight the main sections. Thanks:-)

Powerball Drawings are: every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday Mega Million Drawings are: every Tuesday and Friday

It's interesting that both your version of Firefox and Chrome are showing incorrect dates.

My version of Firefox (109.0.1) and LibreWolf (109.0) are both showing the incorrect date of Tuesday for Powerball and Wednesday for Mega Millions.

In contrast, my version of Brave (latest version 1.48.158), Vivaldi (5.6.2867.62 (Stable channel) stable (64-bit)), Falkon (Application version 3.0.0 / QtWebEngine version 5.9.5 / © 2010-2018 David Rosca / https://kde.org/) are all showing the dates correctly. Even Pale Moon (version 31.4.2) is displaying the dates correctly. Monday for Powerball and Tuesday for Mega Millions.

I've attached three screenshots only. LibreWolf (area of the issue) and full screens of Brave and Vivaldi. I did not attach for Falkon and Pale Moon.

Thank you for looking this over again.

BRAVE: brave (12feb2023)

LibreWolf: librewold (12feb2023)

Vivaldi: vivaldi (12feb2023)

@cpage437 Firefox has received an update. Could you please re-test the issue using the latest version?

@softvision-raul-bucata

Thanks for the followup:

The issue persists on my version of Firefox (latest, v.110.0, updated 16feb). It's the only browser (from those I have installed) that give the wrong date. (Linux Mint 19.3).

Please note that on @sv-calin's screenshots: His version of Chrome also displayed the wrong date. It's weird because both Brave and Vivaldi are displaying correctly on my system.

@cpage437 I think this might be device dependent. @denschub Can you take a look, please?

Thanks for the follow up! I hadn't accessed the page in a very long time since I play infrequently. Currently, I'm not seeing any problems whatsoever. The date issue seems to have been fixed:-)
