Browser / Version: Firefox 111.0 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.15 Tested Another Browser: Yes Chrome

Problem type: Site is not usable Description: Unable to login Steps to Reproduce: Failed to login using Firefox 111. When I enter the "User ID" (e.g., 112233445566) and "image security code", attempting to login will always show "invalid security code". It failed even on a fresh profile.

However, it works on Chrome and older versions of Firefox (tested on 107 and 109). It will show "INVALID USER" if it is a wrong User ID or will move to the next page where it asks for the password if it is a correct User ID.

Thank you for reporting this issue, I was able to reproduce it.

Tested on: • Browser / Version: Firefox Nightly 112.0a1 (2023-02-28) / Firefox Release 110.0.1 / Chrome 110.0.5481.100 • Operating System: Mac OS X 10.15

Notes:

  1. Reproducible on Firefox Nightly regardless of the ETP status
  2. Not reproducible on Firefox Release and Chrome

This depends on InstallTrigger, setting extensions.InstallTrigger.enabled to true in Nightly makes it work as expected. We can add this domain to the existing intervention and possibly contact the site.

A Web Compatibility intervention for this is now shipping in Firefox Nightly 114 as per bug 1805410. We will be uplifting this intervention into the 113 Beta as well, so that it'll be included in that release train.
