www.youtube.com - Video still appears in the media controller after switching to homepage #119899

Problem type: Something else Description: when you are watching a video and go YouTube home, the video can be played with the resume button. It's like video stills in background Steps to Reproduce: You play a video in YouTube and if you go YouTube Home, the video can be played with the resume button. It's like video stills on background. But only the audio sounds, video not. Like you can see in the image, the video still in the music controller.

Thank you for reporting this issue, I was able to reproduce it.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Go to youtube.com
  2. Play any video.
  3. Click on the home button (youtube logo).
  4. Click on the date/time located at the top of the screen.
  5. Observe the behaviour.

Tested on: • Browser / Version: Firefox Nightly 113.0a1 (2023-03-22) / Firefox Release 111.0.1 / Chrome 111.0.5563.110 • Operating System: Ubuntu 22.04 LTS

Notes:

  1. Reproducible on both Firefox Release and Nightly
  2. Not reproducible on Chrome
  3. There's no audio for me if I try to play the video from the media controller
