We appreciate your report. I was not able to reproduce the issue:

Tested with:

Browser / Version: Firefox Nightly 115.0a1 (2023-05-24) (64-bit) Operating System: Windows 10 PRO x64

@ricoip Suggestion: Try clearing cache/data/cookies, disabling add-ons and Ad-blocker (if available) and extensions or use a clean profile, and check again? If there are any changes made to the default settings of the browser (e.g. in about:config) please revert to the default settings and try again. Also, have the required cookies been accepted for this page?

Hi! Thanks for the quick response.

I created a brand-new profile and I'm still having the issue. There were no cookies acceptance screen as far as I know.

I'm also using FF Nightly 115.0a1 (2023-05-25) (64-bit) on Windows 10 Pro (22H2, 19045.2965)

@ricoip Can you please provide a screenshot when using Chrome? I can only see the same resources being used on both browsers:

@softvision-raul-bucata I tried Chrome Canary 116.0.5793.0 (also brand new profile, with settings reset), but couldn't see any RAM issues/leakage…

@ricoip Can you please try in safe mode? Click the menu button (three vertical lines), click Help, select Troubleshoot Mode… and click Restart in the Restart Firefox in Troubleshoot Mode.

@softvision-raul-bucata Using safe mode does eliminate the leakage… but the main part ("gallery") of the website no longer works due to WebGL not being enabled.

What I would do usually to test this kind of issue, is:

  1. Type about:profiles in the url bar.
  2. Choose Create a new profile.
  3. Call it deleteme or anything you please.
  4. Then start it. (this way you will be sure that nothing is interfering, no ghost caching etc.)- make sure account sync is not performed, as the extensions will be imported in the new profile.
  5. Test.

I've been testing on brand new profiles for both FF and Chrome since this comment, but unfortunately the issue still persists on Firefox…

Here's my latest test on Nightly 115.0a1 (2023-05-27) (64-bit):

Taskmgr_WpCOQt1ITW

No sync enabled, just created a new profile, entered the site address and scrolled through the "gallery" on the site.

If the issue is still reproducible on your side, please submit a performance profile following these steps (https://firefox-source-docs.mozilla.org/performance/reporting_a_performance_problem.html and https://profiler.firefox.com/docs/#/ ) by commenting here with the attached profile or opening a new issue with the said performance profile attached.
