flights.google.com - site is not usable #124189

Closed setharnold closed 1 year ago

URL: https://flights.google.com

Browser / Version: Firefox 114.0 Operating System: Ubuntu Tested Another Browser: Yes Other

Problem type: Site is not usable Description: Buttons or links not working Steps to Reproduce: Hello, Firefox does not load flights correctly on Google's Flights site.

Visit https://flights.google.com. Typically your starting airport is prefilled with something nearby. (I used PDX.) Fill in a destination airport. (I used AMS.) Click Search.

On Firefox, nothing happens. If you hit the browser reload button at this point, you'll find a list of Best Departing Flights and Other Departing Flights.

Select a flight. The display may or may not change. If it does not change, hit refresh, and it will then ask for a return flight. Select a flight. The display may or may not change. If it does not change, hit refresh, and then you will see some Booking Options.

On chromium-browser on Ubuntu all these transitions happen smoothly.

Thanks

We appreciate your report but I was not able to reproduce this issue. I've tested multiple times but there was no issue.

Tested on: • Browser / Version: Firefox Nightly 116.0a1 (2023-06-30) / Firefox Release 114.0.2 • Operating System: Ubuntu 22.04 LTS

Suggestions: • Clear cache/data/cookies, disable Ad-blocker (if available), or use a clean profile and check again • If there are any changes made to the default settings of the browser (e.g. in about:config), please revert to the default settings

How to create a new profile:

  1. Open a new tab
  2. Type in the address bar "about:profiles"
  3. Press "Enter"
  4. Click on "Create a New Profile"
  5. Click "Next"
  6. Name your profile
  7. Click "Next"
  8. Head to your newly created profile
  9. Click "Launch profile in new browser"

@sv-calin wow, thanks for the amazing response. I cannot reproduce it with your New Profile instructions (which are excellent; I'd never looked into profiles before, I assumed it was going to be more work than that.)

Thanks

I'm glad it no longer reproduces for you. New profiles ensures that there are no settings changes/add-ons/cookies that might interfere when browsing. Marking this as worksforme.
