Problem type: Something else Description: The "video's" on this page flicker until they go through at least one cycle Steps to Reproduce: Loading the page and scrolling down to the video's will see them flickering until they go through at least one cycle.

Looking at the inspector, these are not video files, but rather an array of matrix transformed images loaded in sequence. (seems rather cursed to me)

I have encountered this issue both on stable and on nightly (on android) and the issue does not occur on Chromium.

output.webm Seems the screenshot I uploaded as animated gif, does not work, so I attached it as a video here instead.

We appreciate your report. I was able to reproduce the issue by following the steps to reproduce:

Tested with:

Browser / Version: Firefox Release 121.0.1 (64-bit)/ Firefox Nightly 123.0a1 (2023-01-09) (64-bit) /Chrome Version 120.0.6099.217 (Official Build) (64-bit) Operating System: Windows 10 PRO x64 Operating System: Ubuntu 22.4 LTS x64

Notes:

  1. Reproducible regardless of the status of ETP.
  2. Reproducible on the latest build of Firefox Nightly and Release.
  3. Works as expected using Chrome.
  4. Changing the ETP setting or refreshing the page solves the issue.
