Problem type: Something else Description: High CPU usage Steps to Reproduce: When opening this page, the CPU usage goes through the roof and the CPU fan starts spinning heavily.

In Firefox, I get around 80% CPU usage or more, while in Edge and Vivaldi I barely get 10% CPU usage (GPU usage in Vivaldi was higher than in Firefox).

We appreciate your report. I was able to reproduce the issue by following the steps to reproduce.

Tested with:

Browser / Version: Firefox Release 123.0 (64-bit)/ Firefox Nightly 125.0a1 (2024-02-29) (64-bit) /Chrome Version 122.0.6261.95 (Official Build) (64-bit) Operating System: Windows 10 PRO x64

Notes:

  1. Reproducible regardless of the status of ETP.
  2. Reproducible on the latest build of Firefox Nightly and Release.
  3. Works as expected using Chrome.
  4. Performance profile: https://share.firefox.dev/3IEhOg5
