We appreciate your report but I was not able to reproduce this issue, parts of the text I was typing did not disappear when I've hit enter or moved the cursor. I've tested this with a regular account, does this reproduce only when you are logged in with a company account?

Tested on: • Browser / Version: Firefox Release 124.0.1 • Operating System: Ubuntu 22.04 LTS

Suggestions: • Clear cache/data/cookies, disable Ad-blocker (if available), or use a clean profile and check again • If there are any changes made to the default settings of the browser (e.g. in about:config), please revert to the default settings

How to create a new profile:

  1. Open a new tab
  2. Type in the address bar "about:profiles"
  3. Press "Enter"
  4. Click on "Create a New Profile"
  5. Click "Next"
  6. Name your profile
  7. Click "Finish"
  8. Head to your newly created profile
  9. Click "Launch profile in new browser"

Note: You can return to your old profile at any given time by accessing "about:profiles" in the address bar

Thanks for your reply.

To reproduce I did a fresh install of firefox 124.0.1 on a different Debian 12 based computer. So: No extensions, no ad-blocker, new profile, unmodified settings.

I can reproduce the problem with my corporate account as well as my personal account.

Is there anything I can do to help debug the problem? Screen recording? Output of developer console?

Could you test on Firefox Nightly as well and give us an update? If the issue is still reproducing a screenshot with the console errors (if available) and a screen record reproducing the issue would be helpful.

Tested with nightly 126a1 (2024-03-31) 64bit and beta (125b6)

In both nightly and beta build the problem does not occur.

Are you still interested in screen recording and console errors for 124.0.1?

Otherwise I'd be fine with closing this issue.

Thank you very much for your assistance && keep up the good work!

Thanks for testing out. For this project, the main focus is on Firefox Nightly. Since the issue is not reproducible on Firefox Nightly, this will be closed as "wontfix".

We apologize for the inconvenience but the issue will most likely be fixed in the upcoming Firefox Release versions. If the issue will still be present, feel free to file a new report and we will investigate it further.
