youtube.com - video or audio doesn't play #139335

Browser / Version: Firefox 128.0 Operating System: Linux Tested Another Browser: Yes Chrome

Problem type: Video or audio doesn't play Description: The video or audio does not play Steps to Reproduce: On youtube when I click theater mode or full screen on the video, it crashes firefox. I have cleared cache, turned off, and then removed all add-ons, and tried in a private window, and same thing always. It works fine in chrome. This only started happening after I updated.

We appreciate your report but I was not able to reproduce this issue. I was able to watch videos in both modes and the browser did not crash.

Tested on: • Browser / Version: Firefox Release 128 • Operating System: Ubuntu 22.04 LTS

Suggestions: • Clear cache/data/cookies, disable Ad-blocker (if available), or use a clean profile and check again • If there are any changes made to the default settings of the browser (e.g. in about:config), please revert to the default settings

How to create a new profile:

  1. Open a new tab
  2. Type in the address bar "about:profiles"
  3. Press "Enter"
  4. Click on "Create a New Profile"
  5. Click "Next"
  6. Name your profile
  7. Click "Next"
  8. Head to your newly created profile
  9. Click "Launch profile in new browser"

Note: You can return to your old profile at any given time by accessing "about:profiles" in the address bar
