Thank you for reporting this issue, I was able to reproduce it on Firefox Nightly and Release
I've created a Bugzilla report for this issue: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1912253 Closing this as moved.
[qa_32/2024]
URL: https://old.reddit.com/r/anime/comments/1ejvd6l/ranime_karma_ranking_discussion_week_5_summer_2024/lghf95e/
Browser / Version: Firefox 128.0 Operating System: Linux Tested Another Browser: Yes Chrome
Problem type: Something else Description: Huge PDF file for print version of reddit r/anime page with pictures on Steps to Reproduce: press Ctrl+P / "Print"
a) unselect "Print backgrounds" = gives small PDF of 118 KB, opens OK
b) select "Print backgrounds" to include pictures: gives PDF file of ~170 MB, which Okular can not show (maybe freezes trying to render).
c) print the same page using Chrome with pictures = gives PDF file of 1.6 MB size, opens OK (excluding maybe some problems with page layout)
I know that old.reddit.com/r/anime uses some (probably) rare CSS magic for comment faces, compared to www.reddit.com and new.reddit.com versions So, the problem is probably rare.
But still, it is the error in logic, to include completely unneeded data. (Or is it saving the original web page instead of the rendered result.)
I hope this reports is helpful. Cheers!
