Browser / Version: Firefox 129.0
Operating System: Windows 10
Tested Another Browser: Yes Edge
Problem type: Video or audio doesn't play
Description: The video or audio does not play
Steps to Reproduce:
When I try and load a video on Firefox's current version, the video no longer plays.
It was working fine yesterday afternoon. It's possible that something was changed in my settings (I turned hardware acceleration off but have since turned it back on).
I've also tried accessing about:config and setting media.mediasource.experimental.enabled to true, but that didn't fix the issue.
The error I'm getting in the console on Hulu says "Cannot play media. No decoders for requested formats: application/vnd.apple.mpegurl; codecs="stpp.ttml.im1t", application/vnd.apple.mpegurl; codecs="wvtt"" so it looks like Hulu is trying to treat Firefox as if it's receiving Apple content.
I have attempted resetting Firefox, uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox, disabling all extensions, restarting the computer, starting in safe mode, etc. but am still having issues. I contacted Hulu support and they had no suggestions beyond what I listed above. I've also tried shutting all other applications so ONLY Firefox is running, but still no dice.
