media.ccc.de - video or audio doesn't play #23952

Browser / Version: Firefox 66.0 Operating System: Linux Tested Another Browser: No

Problem type: Video or audio doesn't play Description: Video does not play when opened via link(?) Steps to Reproduce: Often, when I open the video via a link in a new tab, the video won't begin to play. And yes, I've clicked that play button. It just seems to load infinitively.

When I reload the site, it works without any problems.

first party isolation and other privacy-sessions are enabled

could also reproduce in a stable Firefox IIRC

Actually, I've noticed, you can cancel the loading and again click on the play button and then it seems to work… 🤔

Thanks for the report, but I am unable to reproduce this issue. I was able to play the video 5/5 times, in new tabs.

Tested with: Browser / Version: Firefox Nightly 66.0a1 (2019-01-16) Operating System: Linux Mint

@rugk you please update to the latest Firefox version, and give it another try? Also could you try clearing cache/data/cookies, disable Ad-blocker (if available), or use a clean profile (about:profiles), and check again?

This can break a lot of stuff.
