Expected Behavior: Chat box to the right should load

Actual Behavior: Chat box doesn't load, just get spinning gear instead. Worked for a few browser updates, then stopped working again. Seems to only affect 64 bit Nightly. Works in other browsers.

Confirmed, I can't see the chat window on Firefox Nightly 55 2017-05-23 64-bit. @albert71292 does this works on Firefox Nightly 32 bits?

Not sure if it's about:

The connection to wss://sapi-ws.vaughnlive.tv/ was interrupted while the page was loading.

Yes, loaded fine on 32 bit Firefox, just not 64 bit.

This is strange. According to Chrome, the following anonymous code is run (Flash ExternalInterface stuff) in order to trigger the chat box to activate:

I have no idea what triggers that call, because Chrome shows no call stack, so it's likely just a message coming from the SWF object they use to play their video/ads (an in-house "VaughSoft" video player, apparently). Sure enough, running that code fragment in Firefox make the chat box show up as well.

In addition, the Firefox console shows that the websocket receives a message with the video stream ID for the Flash player to begin playing, which it seems to then pass to the SWF object, which eventually starts playing the stream:

RECV: STREAM #vl-cjseaman 0 l06TmGvvXGi0TBEMOzjGs3wa3WTGxJFR True

So my theory is that the SWF object just isn't sending the message to activate the chat box, but I'm not sure how to verify that. I do note that it does so on Chrome well before the video starts playing, so maybe this is an error or issue buried in Flash code that we can't see.

@MDTsai, @denschub, do you guys have any further insight here, or do you also think this is this something Flash-related that we should reach out to the site to confirm?

PS: note that the websocket error that @MDTsai ran into seems to only happen for me when I refresh the tab, so I think it's unrelated (but it may be a regression of bug 712329, so I think we may want to report it as a separate issue).

My windows system isn't working well so I can't test this properly. Seems to work OK in Firefox 57 for OSX though.

Can someone confirm before I do outreach?
