www.nytimes.com - Keboard is not available #69976

Browser / Version: Firefox iOS 33.0 Operating System: iOS 14.4.2 Tested Another Browser: Yes Chrome

Problem type: Something else Description: Mini crossword does not display keyboard. Steps to Reproduce: From email I clicked on hyperlink for mini crossword. Opens in Firefox. Swiped up to open crossword. Crossword grid opens with arrows to swipe up or down but no keyboard shows. No amount of swiping will bring the keyboard. Also I cannot upload a screenshot fro below. The box activates with blue but no menu appears to choose photo.

We appreciate your report. I was able to reproduce the issue. The keyboard is not shown:

Notes:

  1. Reproducible regardless of the status of ETP
  2. Works as expected using Chrome: Screenshot_5

Tested with: Browser/Version: Firefox Daylight 33.0 (4119) Operating System: iOS 13.1.3

Moving this to NeedsDiagnosis for further investigations.

For me it's actually the opposite, the keyboard is shown on the first load in Firefox and Brave and not in Chrome or Safari.

If I refresh the page, the keyboard doesn't appear in Firefox with the blue box taking over the space ath the top:

And only half of it is showing in Brave on a second load:

Given that I got different results, wonder if this depends on a screen size. This is most likely non-compat though as it's not working consistently in all browsers, but we still can try to contact the site to let them know
