Can confirm. To reproduce, sign in with a personal (not work or school) MS account and visit teams.live.com
.
This seems to be the object defining which browsers should be shown that screen.

I spoofed my user-agent to be chrome and nothing was immediately broken.
So for me the message for downloading disappears quickly but I get instead a sequence of redirections, where the final message is:
And if I deactivate Tracking Protection I get…
Let me try to restart from the start.
ok after signing out and logging in again I get a slightly different message than the reporter. https://teams.microsoft.com/_#/guestLicense
Note that there is a link to use the web app and this link brings to the page Welcome to Teams.
Ah but I started with https://teams.live.com/
Let's start with https://portal.office.com/
fun this time going through portal and selecting the icon on the left side I get
I let @softvision-oana-arbuzov @softvision-raul-bucata test that part :)
@karlcow the issue is still reproducible on Firefox Nightly.
And it works on Chrome.
Tested with: Browser / Version: Firefox Nightly 91.0a1 (2021-06-23) Operating System: Windows 10 Pro
nothing much to do. I know there are discussions going on between Mozilla and Microsoft about Teams, but no ETA in sight.
Hello I got problem also on Teams for Uni, the ICON become HUGE..
see this image
That's done homework, but see that the (v) check mark isn't normal... See the docs
As I don't install edge (I FORCE DELETE EDGE ON WINDOWS, HATE EDGE, LOVE FIREFOX)
As of today 2021-07-12, logging into MS Teams from Firefox is working again for me. Both through portal.office.com and by going to teams.microsoft.com directly.
Should we close this?
still reproducible
firefox is still false in supportedBrowsers
: https://statics.teams.cdn.live.net/hashed/3.1.5-config-life.min-1-0-0-2021070937.js
The issue is still reproducible on my side using the latest build of Firefox Nightly, with and without a clean profile:
Tested with: Browser / Version: Firefox Nightly 93.0a1 (2021-08-13) (64-bit) Operating System: Windows 10 PRO x64
Reopening the issue for investigations
Reproducible on Android devices as well:
Tested with:
Browser / Version: Firefox Release 104.1.0 (2015898515-🦎104.0-20220816115024🦎 )/ Firefox Nightly 106.0a1 (2015902251-🦎106.0a1-20220904093956🦎)/ Chrome Mobile Version 104.0.5112.102 Operating System: Samsung A51 (Android 11) -1080 × 2400 pixels 20:9 aspect ratio (~405 ppi density) Operating System: Google Pixel 3 (Android 12) -1080 x 2160 pixels, 18:9 ratio (~443 ppi density)

Quick update on this issue.
We've been working with Microsoft to get Teams working in Firefox. Teams users using teams.microsoft.com
(primarily Business and Enterprise customers on a paid plan, but also some free/personal legacy accounts) should be able to use MS Teams as normal now.
For this specific bug report: There is a second Microsoft Teams instance running on teams.live.com
. This is the instance that most Personal/Consumer/Free users of MS Teams are on, and that is currently showing a "browser unsupported" banner for Firefox users.
We're still actively working on this, and will share an update as soon as we have something to share.

Any news on this? Thanks

@norru For these long standing web compatibility issues, it is usually better to report bugs to Microsoft directly. If enough people report that a web property is not working with their browser of choices, it will help move the needle. The Webcompat teamS at both Mozilla and Apple are trying in parallel. But the most important is the customers direct ask. Hope it helps a (little) bit, at least to understand. ❤️
Hello Karl,
Thank you for heads up, and sorry to meddle in between, the problem is we, user tried to keep sending feedback, but the problem is, they keep ignoring it... 😂
The what option do we, user have? Other than stay at the corner and just sigh... 😂
This also happen to a lot of Office tools like zoom in excel 365 or PowerPoint web.. Where they just plainly ignore us, business and paid/premium user, and straightly point to crEdge.. Which limit our option as user to only use edge.. 😭
If there are any possibility, please do lobby from Microsoft, I'm begging you 🙇♂️🙏
Thank you!

Microsoft is releasing its new web client globally and it is scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2024. For this reason, we hope that the problem can be resolved as soon as possible.
