kundeportal.aftenposten.no - site is not usable #8602

Closed ysteina closed 7 years ago

ysteina commented 7 years ago

URL: https://kundeportal.aftenposten.no/minside/

Browser / Version: Firefox Mobile 56.0 & 54.0.1 Operating System: Android 6.0.1 Tested Another Browser: Yes

Problem type: Site is not usable Description: Profile settings page does not show Steps to Reproduce: (You shouldn't need an account at aftenposten.no to reproduce this bug). a Either visit the site URL or b Go to aftenposten.no, touch the upper-right menu, touch "Min side" (My profile).

The site URL should display an option to log in if you're logged out, or your profile settings if you're already logged in. But whether I'm logged in or not, the page is broken (see image). Works as expected in Chrome Mobile.

(This is Norway's largest newspaper, so kind of a big deal for Norwegian users).

I can't reproduce this in Firefox 54 or 56 on Android 6.0.1 It works perfectly fine for me.

Thanks for the report @ysteina, but I'm not able to reproduce using Firefox mobile 56 on Z3C. Could you help to test when log out or in privacy browsing mode?

It appears that this is only a bug when the tracking protection is turned on. With the protection off the page works as expected.

MDTsai commented 7 years ago

Thanks @ysteina, tracking protection is an important clue. But normally we don't treat this as a compatibility issue since it's user's personal choice when visiting the web page. I would like to close this issue and mark as duplicate of https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1101005 Thanks again!
