“Public” string is not very intuitive #3055

URL: https://staging.webcompat.com/issues/new Browser / Version: Firefox Nightly 71.0a1 (2019-10-24) Operating System: Windows 10 Pro

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Navigate to https://staging.webcompat.com/issues/new
  2. Fill in the requires information until reaching the end of the report.
  3. Click “Report Anonymously” button.
  4. Observe “Options GitHub username” area.

Expected Behavior: A more intuitive message is displayed (e.g Optional GitHub name (this will be public))

Actual Behavior: “Public” string is displayed randomly above the “GitHub username” field.

Note

No confusion was captured in usability testing but that doesn't mean it wasn't there.

I wonder if when given the correct styling the association with "public" and the field would be better understood:

I'm all for clarity however and invite more personal opinions on whether we need to elaborate more on 'public'?

I think if we fix the styling, it looks nice.
