What should happen if a refresh action is performed on an already filled in report?

Good question. I also filed https://github.com/webcompat/webcompat.com/issues/3018 which is similar in spirit.

I'll copy paste what I originally wrote in the handover document:

In the last session of testing all users commented positively on the speed of the test (avg. 6 minutes), it would be my assumption that most would complete it in one sitting.

That said, the current site preserves form field data when refreshed, but not when the tab is closed. I would be happy to match this behaviour if possible. Preserve on refresh, not on tab close.

I was later informed that the actions of refresh and tab closure produce the same results and that it would be difficult to differentiate between the two scenarios. Therefore, given a situation where we either have to to save or discard, it was agreed that information should be discarded to prevent the remnants of a half completed form interfering with a new report.
