Graeme,
I'm sorry, but at the moment AdWhirl is unable to accept new network
applications. We are currently evaluating better methods of enabling this
functionality, and will definitely let you know when we've reached a conclusion.

Hi,
Just to clarify my understanding, the AdWhirl project can not incorporate new adapters for Ad Networks at the moment? So that means it is not currently possible in do a "full integration" of another ad network that is "not on the list"? If this is the case, what is the target date to resolve this and are there resources actively working on this issue?
Thanks,
Mark

Good point.
Looks like doing it the "the right way" is not an option (in my understanding)
with Adwhirl anymore, so it's up to the ad networks SDK to allow a more custom
approach (1,2 below). I hope Google/Admob/Adwhirl really are evaluating the
approach to enabling other ad networks or it defeats the purpose of Adwhirl.
http://code.google.com/p/adwhirl/wiki/AddNewAdNetwork
1. Use the Generic Notifications mechanism for shorter-term or one-off
implementations, or if you are less inclined to modify the server. See the
linked wiki for details.
2. Use the Custom Events mechanism. Custom Events are very similar to Generic
Notifications, and you can configure an unlimited number of them and assign
each of them a percentage of your traffic and fall back priorities.
3. Doing it "the right way," with full server support for allocations and
rollover priorities, by implementing adapters and updating the server code.
Cheers,
Graeme.

Yup,
I am going to use the Custom Events mechanism for now, but that is just a hack. Any comment from the AdWhirl team?

Hi AdWhirl,
Can you confirm your timescales for bringing on other ad networks such as
Adfonic please?
Many thanks,
