Why am I getting this error? I tried opening the x64 .msi file but windows gives me this error. Thank you.

DitherMan420 commented 4 months ago

Seems to only happen with the latest version?

DitherMan420 commented 3 months ago

Hi following up. Is this github page maintained? Thank you!

Works for me.

Works for me.

Which version of Windows? I just tried it again and I'm still having the same issue. But the 2nd to newest version works fine....... it is only 1.12.5 that flags the error in Windows.

throwaway96 commented 3 months ago

Windows 11.

Me too.....? Did you disable anything in Windows Defender? I am completely out of ideas. The 2nd to latest version works completely fine for my purposes so it's not a huge deal but it's very weird that it works for you and not for me. I know I'm not doing anything wrong..

@mariotaku would you be able to assist?

mariotaku commented 3 months ago

@DitherMan420 I can't reproduce this either. It installed without any issue.

Got it, thank you for confirming. I am not sure why it does not work for me. The prior version installs just fine.....very weird. Oh well. Who knows. I'll just wait for the next version.

Weird, when I download it, it shows up as 0 kb, however the older verison shows as 12kb. Very odd. NEver seen this before.

Figured it out. Firefox was blocking it.

throwaway96 commented 3 months ago

Blocking it how/why? It's not some kind of antivirus false positive, right?

It is. Firefox is straight up blocking it. And edge gives a warning but let's you override. I'll try chrome later.

Likely just false positives since it's a relatively new version. That's my guess.
