Looks like the last commit was 10 months ago. Is this project still active/maintained and recommended to be used for cleaning up unused CSS in webpack projects? Or is there an alternative that is suggested?

There are no contributors here. Looks better use https://github.com/FullHuman/purgecss-webpack-plugin, we can archive with repository to avoid misleading.
