[Feature Request] Support for content blocker #73

A nice feature would be support for adblockers or content blockers such as uBlock Origin. Some sites have ads that take up too much storage (and screen real estate) for no good reason.

am using sometimes an ad blocker when I archive webpages with the extension; is that bad for my archiving files or the core elements of pages?

Hi @hamoudak, the ad blocker will prevent certain requests from coming through such as ads and possibly trackers, so that content won't be in your archive. Otherwise there typically shouldn't be any adverse effects on your archive - in fact, by default in Browsertrix Crawler we use Brave's built-in ad blocking features.

Occasionally ad blockers get a little overzealous and may prevent a page from loading correctly, but if it looks good to you as you're browsing with the archiveweb.page extension, then the archive should be good as well.

thank you for clearing this up , the last part you said was important to what am doing. it's loading fine. I was archiving some pages of kiwix topics on reddit and noticed in a few pages there're ads ; it just prevents this ad. I was afraid if there's something I didn't know about it.
